Solimán López es un artista conceptual de nuevos medios especializado en la intersección entre arte, ciencia, tecnología, ecología y biotecnología. Dirige el laboratorio de innovación en la Escuela Superior de Arte y Tecnología (ESAT) en Valencia y actúa como investigador en el Institute for Future Technologies en París.

Es fundador del Harddiskmuseum, un museo digital que cuestiona cómo preservamos y accedemos al arte en la era digital; también creó OLEA Biotoken, un proyecto que fusiona biotecnología y blockchain mediante el almacenamiento de datos en ADN, y promovió el movimiento Manifesto Terrícola, que reflexiona sobre la memoria biológica, la conciencia planetaria y la transición ecológica.

Su práctica artística incluye el uso de inteligencia artificial, biología sintética, electrónica, instalaciones interactivas y esculturas 3D. Sus obras han sido exhibidas en prestigiosas instituciones y festivales por todo el mundo, como el ZKM en Alemania, el Chronus Art Center en China, el Centre Pompidou en Francia, el Hermitage en Rusia, y también en espacios en Latinoamérica, como Bogotá o Medellín.

Entre sus proyectos más relevantes se encuentran escultura interactiva (como la pieza BIOMA, que recoge datos de sonido y biometría ambiental), instalaciones bioartísticas, y acciones artísticas que combinan impresión 3D con ADN, como es el caso de su “Manifiesto Terrícola”.

Además de su faceta artística, imparte conferencias y talleres en universidades, festivales y congresos internacionales, abordando temas relacionados con el arte, la biotecnología, la memoria digital y la sostenibilidad.

Solimán López is a conceptual new‑media artist whose practice explores the intersection of art, science, technology, ecology, and biotechnology.
