María Corte, nacida en Barcelona en 1983, es una ilustradora catalana cuyo estilo distintivo se caracteriza por el uso de formas geométricas, una sensibilidad cromática singular y la alteración del espacio y la figura humana convencionales. Tras graduarse en ilustración por la Escola Massana de Barcelona en 2009, año en que también recibió el prestigioso Premio INJUVE, comenzó una prolífica carrera como ilustradora freelance. Su versátil obra abarca desde portadas de libros y revistas hasta carteles y animaciones, y ha colaborado con clientes internacionales de renombre como The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Penguin Books, y la BBC Music Magazine. Uno de sus trabajos más destacados a nivel local fue el diseño del cartel para las fiestas de La Mercè de Barcelona en 2019.
